The tyres perform well for day to day driving, but lack confindence in the intial turn if your pushing the car. The brakng performance in a straight line whiles in wet is incredible and reliable. Accelerating in the wet very good but not as good as the braking. The tyres do not make much noise on the motorway and seem to be puncture resistant. I would not recommend these tyres for those who want to push the their on the weekend as they simply let go.
26.02.2021 from Arek
Good all-round tyres. Safety & quite.
02.04.2020 from Clive Williams
The tyres have provided a remarkable improvement in handling and grip, inspiring confidence that translates into improved A-B times as well as being more comfortable than the previous tyres i.e. Nexen.

15.08.2025 from Donald
These tyres are good value and perform safely and well when used within legal parameters on UK roads. One slight negative is road surfaces can sometimes make tyre noise quite high but other than that I will definitely buy them again.
12.09.2024 from Michael
The tyres were 7/10 when I got them, the wet straight line grip is great the dry performance is above average. Quiet and comfortable tyres. The tyre wear is poor, I had new arms, tie rods, drop links and bushings as well as alignment done afterwards. The tyres showed excessive wear on the edge after only 8000 miles. I always check tyre pressure every week.

Fitted to the vehicle already when purchased.. They are an adequate budget tyre for perhaps city driving however they are poor in the wet. Lack any feedback in more active driving and in the wet have poor grip and braking performance with significant understeer in even damp conditions with even slightly 'active' driving. I've removed them off the car half worn and replaced with a premium brand as I'm not comfortable with their performance on mainly wet UK roads.
12.01.2023 from Ian
I bought these tires as a cheaper alternative to a Continental tire, because the grip in wet conditions was rated excellent. That seems to be true. This type of tire is designed for lower rolling resistance and increased fuel economy - often that comes with lower wet grip. Not in this case.
06.12.2022 from Yashwant
Always use this brand and model of tires. Because of its durability, and reliability. Best for me.
05.02.2022 from George "Warrior"
- Pretty good-short-braking and grip. In both wet and dry. Also, very good road feedback. - Comfort, economy, and quite tyres. With pretty good quality and price. - I will buy it again and again, for real. -Highly recommend it for me. Our other car is a kuga and if I was reviewing it on that it would be a differant review however given the car has over 300lb/ft of torque these aren't the tyres you want on the rears (they were on the car when I bought it). In the wet the traction control light is a permenant fixture if I get spirited and corners can be challenging if taken with some gusto so in short on a focus or an Astra fine but something with a bit of oomph I would pass on them and spend a bit more. You'll only end up taking them off

Very pleased with the road-holding and tyre life on the Mercedes C Class Sport is better than more expensive premium brands. Also use the Dunlop Winter Sport 3D.
30.05.2012 from StefanG
Not an inspiring drive and not hard-wearing. I'd forgive the first point if the second point was outstanding, but they are only a 'competent' tyre in my opinion. I'll be trying something else shortly as they're due for renewal

poor wet driving, horrible wear...

These are the B-Silent Model and they were 235/55 R19 105Y but this system will not let me specify 55 height. These tyres are absolutely brilliant! I fitted them on the rear and they stopped the road noise from the rear completely. I just wish I had not fitted something different to the front previously, as soon as the fronts wear out I will change to these. I have had no problem with grip, despite racing others around roundabouts.
28.10.2021 from Fluster
Excellent in the wet, no hydroplaning or wheeljerk when driving into puddles at speed. This is my second set of this tyre for this reason.
13.10.2021 from Agop Beyleryan
The tyre is with overall good performance. On wet is losing grip in the corners, however braking in wet conditions is solid
05.10.2021 from Melih PAZI
I'm sorry to say that the tires don't hold up. They always tend to slip.

Nice Budget tyres with that wide and quattro drive its hard to say it lose a grip or brake bad.
02.05.2022 from Alan
Just put these on the rear of my car. The were fitted on a wet day when the roads were greasy. With the tyres being brand new I was expecting wheel spin when I put the foot down. Nope, not a bit, the tyres bit hard. Even on the motorway at 120 kph when I put the foot down I could feel the extra grip and push which added to the driving pleasure and thrill. I've tried spinning the rear wheels in the wet but they just seem to grip really well.

Exceptional behaviour in wet .Good in dry conditions but not for extremely fast driving. Excellent breaking properties. Very high mileage!!
07.03.2022 from Patricia
Terrible grip especially on wet - went sliding on a roundabout with slow speed. Simply doesn’t grip on the road well. I have tried several tyres in my driving time but these sadly are one of the worst purchases I’ve made. I was hopeful as it’s Goodyear but it’s a huge disappointment. Don’t waste your money on this. The noise isn’t too bad, but fuel consumption is poor and so it’s the grip!
26.01.2022 from R
Nearly perfect road tyre in my opinion. I usually drive sensibly, but often "spirited" and found no major downsides, grips really well. ~2000 miles so far I don't see any wear at all (unlike the budget tyres I had before). The only drawback was going through puddles at speed, but I think that's more my car lacking a limited slip diff.
07.11.2021 from Krzys
I used to own Primacy 4's which I liked very much, but pricewise 4'were too expensive. I think Goodyear Efficient Grip 2 are very comfortable tyres. They produce less internal noise when compared to Primacy 4's. Also Goodyear Efficient Grip 2 are softer and less precise (just by marginal difference) than Primacy 4's. Overall I like Goodyear Efficient Grip 2 very much and I think these are safe, comfortable and well pierced premium tyres. I'll buy these tyres again for sure. I would say I should do around 45,000 km in this tyres (front axle) seeing current usage (1.3mm) after 8,500 km.

The biggest problem with these tyres ar that they do not have rip protection. I have been using Hancooks on my previous car, so when looking for tyres for my current car, Hancooks came to mind. I had a better driving experience with the tyres that I replaced.
06.12.2019 from White
These tyres give a superb quiet ride. I also have these tyres fitted to the front of my vehicle, which have now completed 45,000 km and the wear is every bit as good as the Michelin tyres they replaced. Although I do not drive in an aggressive manner I have not noticed any detriment in road holding or fuel consumption.

Fulda summer tyres mean affordable innovation

Fulda is a German tyre brand that was named after the city where it was first established. It has been breaking down barriers in tyre innovations since 1906, and was welcomed into the Goodyear group in 1966. Always challenging their own achievements, the Fulda designers carry out a ‘Fulda Challenge’ at regular intervals, wherein they produce new innovations for different types of tyre. In doing this, they have created some real marvels in summer tyre technology.

The Fulda summer tyres of choice

The stand-out product from Fulda’s summer portfolio is the Ecocontrol HP. It is designed to offer the optimal balance of high performance, fuel efficiency and extensive mileage. This tyre is not designed for sport driving, but for passenger cars and city driving you are guaranteed a quiet ride and, arguably, the best tyre on the market at the price. Expect superb handling and braking in both wet and dry conditions.

If you’re after something more suited to high-speed driving, the Sportcontrol 2 is the place to go. It is Fulda’s top ultra high performance tyre, and offers supremely short braking distances on wet and dry roads. The tread footprint should give a high mileage yield, and the German innovation on offer won’t be found elsewhere at such a great price.

Key benefits of Fulda summer tyres:

  • Short dry braking – road contact is high under braking force, allowing for dry braking distances up to 3 metres shorter than competitors.
  • Short wet braking – Silica compound and biting edges cut through water to contact the ground, with AquaFlow grooves to disperse water.
  • Low fuel consumption – High performance construction means Fulda summer tyres roll with less propulsion requirements

Great specs at affordable prices

Fulda go all out to incorporate all their cutting-edge tech at the lowest possible prices. This way, they have a habit of bowling over the competition in their price bracket. If you are in the market for summer tyres for your vehicle, then the Fulda summer tyres at www.tyre-guru.ie is sure to have something that meets your requirements and falls within your budget, so browse at will and enjoy.
