What tyre size do you require?
The exact size of a tyre can be found on its sidewall.
The following chart shows you how to read a tyre size.
1. Overall tire width in mm
2. Ratio of tire height to tire width in%
3. Tire design: ''R'' = radial tires (widely used), ''D'' or ''-'' = diagonal tires (rare)
4. Required rim diameter for this tire in inches
5. Key figure for tire load capacity
6. Key figure for the permissible maximum speed (speed index)
7. Motorcycle tire identification, tires only approved for motorcycles
8. DOT labeling
9. Date of manufacture of the tire (week of production / year of production)

SPEED INDEX:
The speed index indicates the maximum speed intended for the tyre. Up to this value, the manufacturer guarantees optimum operation with the appropriate tyre pressure. The maximum speed allowed for this vehicle is given in the vehicle owner's manual; this information can be used to select the appropriate speed index for the tyre. The speed index is the last mark on the sidewall of the tyre.

My 35 mile commute to work was the main use of these tyres on all types of road. They feel secure in all weather conditions and are durable. I've used Avon's for years and find them good value.

Ride a triumph thruxton 900 2011 and the bike has terrible weave at speed and I've spoken to various people with the same motorcycle and they all say the tyres are dangerous for this particular motorcycle

A good alround tyre for a classic bike that is going to be ridden at typical road speed, I am happy with the overall performance, but the wear is high, I only get 4-5000 miles from a rear tyre, on the front there is only limited wear after over 7000 miles.

Good overall tyre but front and rear only lasted 3700 miles,also reduced mpg compared to other brands

The tyres are grand. They are tires. I would however like to make a point of saying http://moto-tyres.co.uk/ gave me the worst service I’ve ever had in my life. The original tire I ordered wasn’t in stock and it took them about 2 months to deliver it to me. Customer service was a joke and I spend more time chasing them up on their false promises then I did actually using the tires. On if the most stressful experiences I’ve ever had to go through ordering online. Don’t use http://moto-tyres.co.uk/ to get your tires is the only valid feed back I can give.
