Identify the size of your tyre
The exact dimensions of a tyre can be found on the sidewall printed mark. The graphic shows how to read properties and dimensions of the tyre:

SPEED INDEX:
The speed index indicates the maximum speed intended for the tyre. Up to this value, the manufacturer guarantees optimum operation with the appropriate tyre pressure. The maximum speed allowed for this vehicle is given in the vehicle owner's manual; this information can be used to select the appropriate speed index for the tyre. The speed index is the last mark on the sidewall of the tyre.
 
Load Index
Permissible maximum axle load per tyre in kg. To be found in the registration certificate or vehicle registration document or read directly from the tyre (two-digit number). It is permitted to fit a tyre with a higher load index.
 
Driving safety despite puncture
Runflat tyres are puncture-resistant tyres with reinforced sidewalls. This creates the so-called run-flat property. In the event of damage, this allows the vehicle to continue driving up to a distance of approx. 100 km (and even beyond depending on the product) at a maximum speed of 80 km/h, even if the pressure has been completely lost. Run-flat tyres even prevent the tyre rubber from jumping off the rim in the event of a loss of air pressure. A flat tyre is therefore still a flat tyre, but it loses some of its drama. Note: All run-flat tyres are marked with the symbol "RSC" (Runflat System Component) and may only be fitted in vehicles with a functioning air pressure control system!
 
Tyres with increased load capacity
Reinforced tyres are designed for higher loads than normal tyres. They can be identified by the designation 'RF' (reinforced) or also 'XL' or 'Extra Load'. They are used on vans, minibuses, off-road vehicles, etc. However, their mounting alone does not automatically result in higher load capacity but also requires a correspondingly higher air pressure. Furthermore, the load capacity index specified in the vehicle documents continues to apply.
 
Tyres with extra high load capacity
The "C" in the term C tyres stands for "commercial". These tyres are specially designed for commercial vehicles. These can be, for example, lighter trucks, delivery vans, flatbed trucks or panel vans. In other words: vehicles that have to move higher loads at a comparatively lower speed. The multi-ply reinforced C tyres are therefore even more load-bearing than reinforced tyres.
 
Mobility-optimised tyres
A tyre with a sealing layer on the opposite side of the tyre tread. In the event of a puncture (e.g. by a nail), this layer blocks any loss of air, even if the foreign body causing the puncture is still in the tyre. It is not necessary to stop or change the tyres immediately at the roadside.

Driving with the NS-2's has been very enjoyable, I noticed a significant gain in grip in the dry compared to the landsails I previously had. Driving in the wet is about average and the tyre performs similar to all season tyres with standing water. Ice and snow have been a real weak point for this tyre, being a summer tyre this might be a bit obvious, however I was surprised at how easy traction is lost in these conditions. Aggressive driving, the tyres are very confidence inspiring and handle twisty roads well, especially when warm. Any loss of grip (when pushing the tyre too far) is very predictable and progressive. Please note that the Nankang NS-2 and the Nankang NS-2R are completely different beasts. The NS-2 is a sporty summer tyre the NS-2R is an aggressive semi slick for serious track use

Car now relegated to daughters using it for general use. Fairly rural roads, with. mixed road surfaces. The XL rating of the tyre & tread pattern is good for going up a farm track to where the pony has stable.

4 tyres fitted to a small Kangoo van. They perform well for a slow, tough little van/car that is used for ferrying building materials and going to and from building sites. I don't drive fast or try to push the van beyond it's limits. For this purpose the tyyes are very adequate.

Tyres can be noisy over rougher surfaces but seem to be lasting well. Not really had any snow to speak of to test them on properly but perform well enough in very wet conditions on roads. Fuel consumption seems to be slightly worse than with summer tyres fitted but not too noticeable, getting around 35mpg at each fill up - was getting 35 to 38 with previous tyres.

I bought these tyres as wanted a budget sport tyre for our recently purchased vauxhall Insignia, so got a pair from Oponeo. They sent Sport 2's which are a Chinese made model. Have been generally happy with these as been on some long & many short trips in last year. They have given confidence inspiring performance through all weathers & never given me reason to regret buying them. They wear well too as still lots of tread left. Recommended...

All I can say is that theses tyres are excellent value for money. It's like driving a new car again, the tyres feel responsive, grippy and not a lot of road noise which is a bug bare of mine with lots of tyres. I've only done just over 5000 miles on them but they still look brand new so hoping the wear rate is good. But to be honest they cost less than £50 a tyre fitted ( all 4 changed at same time) . So they don't need to last forever.

These were one of the worst tyres we have ever fitted. Exactly the same as previous tyres which came from manufacturer for vehicle. They wouldn't fit, had to massively overinflat to get them to grip the rim. Awful experience.

Damn right dangerous... had these put on less than 6 months ago, and if you drive in a slightly spirited manner the lack of grip is phenomenal. 30mph bends leave you requiring replacement underwear. And it just gets worse in the wet. Braking distances are terrible in both wet and dry, but they are comfy for 45's. These are a drift tyre in my opinion, cheap and grip less. I only have 150bhp apread across all four wheels and they still slide, I wouldn't recommend them on anything with more than 100 ponies. And if its slightly moist or greasy out, you better be good at throttle control and counter steering... at low speeds they are perfectly acceptable, but if you like to put your foot down abit I'd spend some more money, we don't scrimp on safety.
