11.06.2021 from Shaun Thorpe
Damn right dangerous... had these put on less than 6 months ago, and if you drive in a slightly spirited manner the lack of grip is phenomenal. 30mph bends leave you requiring replacement underwear. And it just gets worse in the wet. Braking distances are terrible in both wet and dry, but they are comfy for 45's. These are a drift tyre in my opinion, cheap and grip less. I only have 150bhp apread across all four wheels and they still slide, I wouldn't recommend them on anything with more than 100 ponies. And if its slightly moist or greasy out, you better be good at throttle control and counter steering... at low speeds they are perfectly acceptable, but if you like to put your foot down abit I'd spend some more money, we don't scrimp on safety.

26.02.2025 from Phillip Claridge
The car was supplied to me with brand new Triangle tyres - a brand I had not heard of and was not one I would have gone for but in the year that I have had them on the car, I have no complaint about their performance. I cannot say whether they would be the tyre of choice when replacement is necessary. t

21.02.2026 from Alan Marshall
Fabulous tyres and exceptional wear, considering the price point of these, especially given my driving style. I'll definitely see over 20000 miles on these tyres which I find remarkable on a heavy car with over 400hp. Could I have better grip, sure for twice the price. Do you really need it, even for having fun on UK roads, no! They are soft rubber though, so you'll know if your alignment is out, these didn't last long on my Merc V Class!
08.08.2020 from Dean
Doing relatively high mileage of over 40k every year, I've been through various different premium tyres over the years. Let me tell you, in the 5k miles on these tyres so far I'd say they're pound for pound up there with premium tyres for everyday driving. I've found them to be really good in the wet, no major drama with aquaplaning and my heavy right foot has encountered no issues in cornering. Strangely, I've found that I'm more confident with these in the wet than dry- they tend to be slightly unpredictable when pushing on. Not a massive issue by any means and shouldn't put anybody off, it's just highlighted by my spirited driving style! Wear seems to be decent so far, but as I said I've only done 5k so far so too early to tell. All in all, great value for money and worth a try. On 20's, The Goodyear Eagle F1s that I had on previously were £160 each, whereas I got these for £115. 200 quid saved, and genuinely no worse performance. Well done Viking!
18.10.2019 from W Edbury
The car feels very safe cornering and braking is very good , it drives straight no wandering overall I’m very satisfied with the set of Tyres.

17.11.2018 from Adrian Montagu
I found thes tyres to be excellent when dealing with standing water as they have deep and wide grooves. But big grooves mean less rubber on the road and that means that they wear out quicker. The rubber is softer than the Dunlops I had before. For cornering and braking in the wet they are excellent. A fairly quiet tyre. My driving style is mixed and I sometimes drift swiftly on winding twisting roads. On the motorways I cruise along at 70mph / 110kmph. I don't brake harshly but when I have to, the tyres are really good.
16.08.2018 from Pawel
Sava Intensa UHP 2 Low noise level but there is not quiet tyre for Irish roads. UK or German autobahn nice and quiet. Hart to say how good is the tire if you not go for race track. Propably is better than 90% other tyres

03.06.2025 from Ian Cornish
Medical problems have severely restricted driving over last 12 months, but I am satisfied with the tyres in town and across country. and the cost.
15.06.2024 from Brandon
I'm quite an aggressive driver for want of a better phrase (I don't hang around) and have driven many cars on many different tyres including Bridgestone, toyo, advan, Goodyear, the list goes on. However, these davanti dx640 tyres are on another level, I live in the countryside in rural Norfolk UK, road conditions aren't the greatest even on dual carriageways but these tyres make driving a breeze. Traction under hard acceleration is extremely good, they hook up well and will barely spin up the wheels (my bmw 325i e92 is 225hp and spins most tyres you put on it) the same goes for hard acceleration in the wet, giving the driver a lot of confidence in the vehicle (especially rwd vehicles). Traction under hard cornering in the wet is probably the best I've had from any tyre I've ever used, very precise and the feed back is unreal, you can put the car exactly where you want it on the road and it seems this is possible even when you think it shouldn't be (wet slippery roundabouts are not a problem for this tyre even at speed). With that said, you can probably imagine the cornering capabilites of this tyre when being used in dry situations. Infact, it's hard to feel any real difference in its abilities between wet performance and dry performance. The fact I've also done 5000 miles (not km) barely using any tread is great and I have no idea how they can make a tyre that handles as well as this, gives feedback as well as this, even in the wet, yet doesn't burn through rubber? It's crazy! These tyres may also be the quietest tyres I've used, again surprising as usually for the performance of a tyre like this you get a fair amount of road noise. I'd go as far to say these davanti tyres act like a semi slick in the dry, act like a wet racing tyre in the wet giving massive amounts of confidence to the driver, yet sound and have the longevity of a premium brand tyre that would cost you more than double the price.
18.09.2023 from Thomas kirk
These tyres would appear to be made from cheese and not cheddar, the soft kind like Feta. The merest hint of a curb and large chunks fall off the side wall. I will have to replace the two front tyres after 6 months and 700 miles to get the car through MOT. The previous tyres were on the car 8 years so it’s not the drive, my wife who’s not a brilliant driver to be honest, but the previous tyres stuck around for 8 years so I’m pretty sure I won’t be buying Devanti tyres any time soon. Appalling bad tyres.
19.05.2019 from Chris
I judge these tyres as I find and not by what I paid as these were cheap cheap cheap and by no means does the tyre represent the cost however these are my rear tyre on rear wheel drive car and often on wet roads I find the back slipping under heavy acceleration did not get this with my vredestein tyres but they were 100 cheaper for the pair agreed if I wasn't so heavy footed I would be fine I certainly wouldn't and didn't fit to the front on replacement as I spent more on stayed with my usual vredestein tyres overall a decent tyre for everyday use but not if you like to punch the throttle..

16.11.2025 from Sith
These tyres were absolutely poor on my BMW. The car felt like alignment was off and the car had no stability, going above 60mph was a very scary experience. I removed them and put back my old continentals with 1mm tread and tested because people claimed my alignment was off, but no, it was these tyres they are terrible - nankang ns20. I removed and sold and bought a pair of pirelli p zero
24.03.2024 from Christopher
Fitted to a 140bhp front whee drive car. Taking into account these are a budget tyre, grip in the dry is good and spirited driving can be accommodated safely. Tyre in the wet is good but no tyre is safe on the limit in the wet. Because of my low mileage I cannot comment on the rate of wear but must be realistic, after all it is a budget product.
26.02.2021 from David Finlay
I was sceptical about the quality of these Nankang tyres, when I bought them I was influenced by the price, but I have been pleasantly surprised by the grip level both in the dry and wet. I like to drive quickly but not dangerously and I have felt when the tyres have been close to their limit, which is a big plus point. My only complaint would be they do tend to follow tracks in the road, but they are quite wide.
13.12.2020 from Andrew Williams
For the price I think you will struggle to find a better tyre.

Gislaved logo

The Swedish heritage of Gislaved summer tyres

Gislaved brings over a century of experience to its work, and focuses on tyres that perform on difficult roads. The Swedish heritage means its primary focus is on conditions like those in Scandinavian countries, meaning the full range of weather types is catered for. Gislaved has cemented a strong position in the industry thanks to its constant, meticulous development of new tyre designs for passenger cars, SUVs and vans with the core values of superior grip, safety and driving comfort in all conditions. Gislaved summer tyres deliver for any type of road and any type of weather.

Favourite Gislaved summer tyres

For passenger cars, one of the best all-round performers is the URBAN*SPEED tyre; a versatile and reliable option that will tick most boxes for most people. It has finely-tuned handling performance thanks to the rubber compound and intricate tread pattern, which is also optimised for minimal noise output and bump absorption for superior comfort. The design also lends itself to a longer lifespan, and has minimal rolling resistance for greater fuel efficiency.

The alternative is the ULTRA*SPEED racing tyre, which is designed to deliver supreme performance at speeds up to 300 km/h. It is for mid- to high-performance cars, with optimal handling, cornering and braking combined with high mileage for the ultimate experience in a powerful car. Its handling and stability are best on dry roads, making it a great option for the track. The increased mileage you get comes from innovative tread design which also offers a long service life, even with the demands of the track. The tyre also minimises noise output, helping improve the overall driving comfort for a smooth and pleasant ride every time.

The great milestones of Gislaved:

  • 1905 – the first Swedish car tyre is produced by Gislaved.
  • 1970 – Gislaved car tyres sells an average of 1.3 million tyres per year
  • 1997 - The Gislaved parent company Nivis Tyre becomes part of Continental AG, meaning access to the best production and development facilities.

Gislaved summer tyres deliver in the harshest conditions

If you live in an area where roads aren’t the smoothest, then Gislaved summer tyres are exactly what you need. Check the range at www.tyre-guru.ie and see how Gislaved can help you.
