Summer tyres - optimal grip guaranteed!
On dry roads or mild weather, your tyres have to face some increased demands and must always meet safety standards. Compared to winter tyres, the rubber mixture of the summer tyres is harder, even in high temperatures. Default rolling resistance and wear are smaller, resulting in a greater lifespan, comfort and increased stability. Choose now from our offer your summer tyres at an affordable price. Our portfolio includes a wide range of tyre brands

Identify the size of your tyre
The exact dimensions of a tyre can be found on the sidewall printed mark. The graphic shows how to read properties and dimensions of the tyre:

/
SPEED INDEX:
The speed index indicates the maximum speed intended for the tyre. Up to this value, the manufacturer guarantees optimum operation with the appropriate tyre pressure. The maximum speed allowed for this vehicle is given in the vehicle owner's manual; this information can be used to select the appropriate speed index for the tyre. The speed index is the last mark on the sidewall of the tyre.

Load Index
Permissible maximum axle load per tyre in kg. To be found in the registration certificate or vehicle registration document or read directly from the tyre (two-digit number). It is permitted to fit a tyre with a higher load index.

Driving safety despite puncture
Runflat tyres are puncture-resistant tyres with reinforced sidewalls. This creates the so-called run-flat property. In the event of damage, this allows the vehicle to continue driving up to a distance of approx. 100 km (and even beyond depending on the product) at a maximum speed of 80 km/h, even if the pressure has been completely lost. Run-flat tyres even prevent the tyre rubber from jumping off the rim in the event of a loss of air pressure. A flat tyre is therefore still a flat tyre, but it loses some of its drama. Note: All run-flat tyres are marked with the symbol "RSC" (Runflat System Component) and may only be fitted in vehicles with a functioning air pressure control system!

Tyres with increased load capacity
Reinforced tyres are designed for higher loads than normal tyres. They can be identified by the designation 'RF' (reinforced) or also 'XL' or 'Extra Load'. They are used on vans, minibuses, off-road vehicles, etc. However, their mounting alone does not automatically result in higher load capacity but also requires a correspondingly higher air pressure. Furthermore, the load capacity index specified in the vehicle documents continues to apply.

Tyres with extra high load capacity
The "C" in the term C tyres stands for "commercial". These tyres are specially designed for commercial vehicles. These can be, for example, lighter trucks, delivery vans, flatbed trucks or panel vans. In other words: vehicles that have to move higher loads at a comparatively lower speed. The multi-ply reinforced C tyres are therefore even more load-bearing than reinforced tyres.

Mobility-optimised tyres
A tyre with a sealing layer on the opposite side of the tyre tread. In the event of a puncture (e.g. by a nail), this layer blocks any loss of air, even if the foreign body causing the puncture is still in the tyre. It is not necessary to stop or change the tyres immediately at the roadside.

Tyres optimised for electric vehicles.
Tyre developed for electric vehicles. These tyres can also be used without hesitation on vehicles with other drive systems.

Really noticed a deference coming from Avon zv5s , these catchfors h/p are much more responsive , cornering was easy with no slippage in dry or wet , for a budget tyre I would highly recommend these

16.02.2023 from Alasdair
Fitted to the vehicle already when purchased.. They are an adequate budget tyre for perhaps city driving however they are poor in the wet. Lack any feedback in more active driving and in the wet have poor grip and braking performance with significant understeer in even damp conditions with even slightly 'active' driving. I've removed them off the car half worn and replaced with a premium brand as I'm not comfortable with their performance on mainly wet UK roads.
12.01.2023 from Ian
I bought these tires as a cheaper alternative to a Continental tire, because the grip in wet conditions was rated excellent. That seems to be true. This type of tire is designed for lower rolling resistance and increased fuel economy - often that comes with lower wet grip. Not in this case.
06.12.2022 from Yashwant
Always use this brand and model of tires. Because of its durability, and reliability. Best for me.
05.02.2022 from George "Warrior"
- Pretty good-short-braking and grip. In both wet and dry. Also, very good road feedback. - Comfort, economy, and quite tyres. With pretty good quality and price. - I will buy it again and again, for real. -Highly recommend it for me. Really poor wear. Would not buy again. Was getting near 20k miles on cheaper brands. Expected more from Firestone
21.01.2020 from James
These tyres perform well, they're comfortable and they're quiet, but they're fragile and wear too quickly. They get punctured and damaged really easily and don't last as long as I would expect. I've had two full sets of these tyres but after yet another puncture I'm sick of constantly having to change them so I've had them all replaced with another brand. I won't buy these again and I don't recommend them.

SHOULD BE BANNED FROM SALE Awful tyre and i think it should be removed/banned from the market. Has ZERO grip on the slightest sign of rain and I really mean it. Major aquaplaning, no grip when turning in any west condition. My car would skid out from the rear and a whip like sensation would happen. Im 37 YO with 2 children and I replaced these because they never wear down but give zero grip!
02.02.2024 from Jim
Lots of wheel spin, crap when breaking and don't ever consider them in the wet! Going slowly round a roundabout these skidded in the slightest of damp! Would never buy again!
31.01.2024 from Big Al
If I could give these tyres 0 stars I would - do not buy them. They are dangerous in wet conditions
05.01.2024 from David Turner
These are the most dangerous tyres I have ever had on any vehicle. Wet grip is non existent, extensive wheel spin when pulling out of junctions. Cornering is really scary as you can feel the vehicle wanting to go straight on. Please don’t consider these if you value safety.

Summer tyres 215-65-R15 – delivering strength and comfort

Summer tyres 215-65-R15 have to perform at their best in temperatures above 7°C, when air particles and the rubber compounds in tyres behave a little differently. This size of tyre fits a range of larger passenger cars and light trucks, and is built to carry that heavier weight and offer a comfortable, safe ride. You will find that different brands and models excel in different areas, but this strength and reliability is a common feature between them. Look out for great handling and braking for superior safety in vehicles like the Renault Espace and Dodge Grand Caravan.

Deciding on your summer tyres 215-65-R15

All summer tyres are built for the warmer temperatures, so your task is to ascertain the features you need to fit your driving style and the types of environment you drive in. If you can pin these down, you can narrow your search and zero in on the perfect tyre. You may need a high-end premium tyre, or simply a quality budget tyre, or perhaps a mid-range one that gets the balance just right. In any case, there is always quality to be found.
There are many racing tyres you can find with these dimensions.

Top summer tyres 215-65-R15

  • Michelin CrossClimate – a beast of a tyre from one of the world’s top manufacturers.
  • Michelin EnergySaver+ - a premium tyre that focuses on fuel efficiency.
  • Goodyear EfficientGrip – a classy tyre that offers great handling and cornering.

At www.tyre-guru.ie we have a comprehensive range of the best tyres, so we have exactly what you’re after.
