Summer tyres - optimal grip guaranteed!
On dry roads or mild weather, your tyres have to face some increased demands and must always meet safety standards. Compared to winter tyres, the rubber mixture of the summer tyres is harder, even in high temperatures. Default rolling resistance and wear are smaller, resulting in a greater lifespan, comfort and increased stability. Choose now from our offer your summer tyres at an affordable price. Our portfolio includes a wide range of tyre brands

Identify the size of your tyre
The exact dimensions of a tyre can be found on the sidewall printed mark. The graphic shows how to read properties and dimensions of the tyre:

/
SPEED INDEX:
The speed index indicates the maximum speed intended for the tyre. Up to this value, the manufacturer guarantees optimum operation with the appropriate tyre pressure. The maximum speed allowed for this vehicle is given in the vehicle owner's manual; this information can be used to select the appropriate speed index for the tyre. The speed index is the last mark on the sidewall of the tyre.

Load Index
Permissible maximum axle load per tyre in kg. To be found in the registration certificate or vehicle registration document or read directly from the tyre (two-digit number). It is permitted to fit a tyre with a higher load index.

Driving safety despite puncture
Runflat tyres are puncture-resistant tyres with reinforced sidewalls. This creates the so-called run-flat property. In the event of damage, this allows the vehicle to continue driving up to a distance of approx. 100 km (and even beyond depending on the product) at a maximum speed of 80 km/h, even if the pressure has been completely lost. Run-flat tyres even prevent the tyre rubber from jumping off the rim in the event of a loss of air pressure. A flat tyre is therefore still a flat tyre, but it loses some of its drama. Note: All run-flat tyres are marked with the symbol "RSC" (Runflat System Component) and may only be fitted in vehicles with a functioning air pressure control system!

Tyres with increased load capacity
Reinforced tyres are designed for higher loads than normal tyres. They can be identified by the designation 'RF' (reinforced) or also 'XL' or 'Extra Load'. They are used on vans, minibuses, off-road vehicles, etc. However, their mounting alone does not automatically result in higher load capacity but also requires a correspondingly higher air pressure. Furthermore, the load capacity index specified in the vehicle documents continues to apply.

Tyres with extra high load capacity
The "C" in the term C tyres stands for "commercial". These tyres are specially designed for commercial vehicles. These can be, for example, lighter trucks, delivery vans, flatbed trucks or panel vans. In other words: vehicles that have to move higher loads at a comparatively lower speed. The multi-ply reinforced C tyres are therefore even more load-bearing than reinforced tyres.

Mobility-optimised tyres
A tyre with a sealing layer on the opposite side of the tyre tread. In the event of a puncture (e.g. by a nail), this layer blocks any loss of air, even if the foreign body causing the puncture is still in the tyre. It is not necessary to stop or change the tyres immediately at the roadside.

Tyres optimised for electric vehicles.
Tyre developed for electric vehicles. These tyres can also be used without hesitation on vehicles with other drive systems.

Original equipment quality: optimum adjustment to the vehicle
Tyres with a special OEM marking on the sidewall, e.g. "MO" for Mercedes-Benz, were developed in cooperation with a specific car manufacturer and the tyre industry. These tyres have been homologated by the vehicle manufacturer and are a perfect match for a specific model. They have been specially designed to highlight or further improve the performance characteristics of the car in question, thus representing the culmination of a state-of-the-art fine-tuning process that perfectly complements the latest technological developments in the automotive industry. Tyres with manufacturer's markings can of course also be used on other vehicles.

I have tried virtually every chinese built tyre over the years on my classic mini and they dont last more than 5000 miles. The rubber compound is too soft, I get through at least one set of tyres a year. They were cheap but are now getting more expensive. Tyres from mytyres are shipped from germany, not oxford, and mine took 6 weeks to arrive...

07.03.2019 from Umski
Bought these tyres based purely on the price and rating - they were replacing some very long lived Avon ZV5 tyres which are no longer made and have been replaced with a lesser alternative - I had gotten 37k (miles) over 5 years out of those so they were very good value. The Rotallas were half the price of equivalent 'branded' tyres but with a C rating for fuel and B for Wet Grip so on paper they were better. In reality I don't drive hard enough to notice, but grip feels good in the dry going round corners and fine in the wet although I am always a lot more cautious especially if there's standing water at speed to avoid any scary moments! Noise-wise it's nigh-on impossible to tell any difference to be honest! Only done about 2k (miles) so far and tread looks almost like new so hoping they last - also working on the assumption that they may outlive the car! Good value in my opinion :)
12.11.2018 from Denis Alabaster
Softish tyre so good cornering grip in dry, always careful in wet conditions as it is rear wheel drive and there would be tendency to lose the rear end if driven harsh in wet conditions.

These Trazano Z107 tyres were initially adequate as budget tyres but over time they have become noisy at speed and wet grip is now atrocious - with 5mm of tread still on the tyre. A regrettable purchase. I will revert to my usual Pirelli Cinturato which performed admirably right down to the tread wear markers. Lesson learned.

Summer tyres 205-60-R16 – a strong tyre for safe and efficient driving

Summer tyres 205-60-R16 have qualities tailored for optimal performance in warmer temperatures, which cause the air and compounds of tyres to behave differently. This size of tyre fits the larger passenger car, and isn’t really suitable if you want to drive at speeds in excess of 250 km/h. Technologies and designs vary between brands, but expect plenty of solid safety features to protect you and your passengers – think good wet and dry handling, short braking distances and features to make your drive more comfortable. They fit many popular passenger cars like the Ford Focus and Nissan Primera.

Choosing your summer tyres 205-60-R16

With the right axle size, you can proceed to explore the summer tyres available to you. All are designed for operation in the summertime, but you also need to consider the conditions you typically drive in and the type of driver you are to inform your final decision. There are budget options to explore, mid-tier ones that offer a little more of a price-quality balance, and premium tyres that cost the most, but have cutting-edge technology at play. With the right research, you will find the perfect tyre for your needs.

Popular summer tyres 205-60-R16

  • The Michelin Energy Saver – a premium tyre that will give you more miles to the gallon.
  • Uniroyal RainExpert 3 – a budget tyre that excels in those summer showers.
  • Goodyear EfficientGrip – great all-round tyre from the famous brand.

At www.tyre-guru.ie we supply a wide range of tyres from the brands like Goodyear, Michelin and Continental, so you won’t struggle to find something that ticks the right boxes.
