Identify the size of your tyre
The exact dimensions of a tyre can be found on the sidewall printed mark. The graphic shows how to read properties and dimensions of the tyre:

SPEED INDEX:
The speed index indicates the maximum speed intended for the tyre. Up to this value, the manufacturer guarantees optimum operation with the appropriate tyre pressure. The maximum speed allowed for this vehicle is given in the vehicle owner's manual; this information can be used to select the appropriate speed index for the tyre. The speed index is the last mark on the sidewall of the tyre.
 
Load Index
Permissible maximum axle load per tyre in kg. To be found in the registration certificate or vehicle registration document or read directly from the tyre (two-digit number). It is permitted to fit a tyre with a higher load index.
 
Driving safety despite puncture
Runflat tyres are puncture-resistant tyres with reinforced sidewalls. This creates the so-called run-flat property. In the event of damage, this allows the vehicle to continue driving up to a distance of approx. 100 km (and even beyond depending on the product) at a maximum speed of 80 km/h, even if the pressure has been completely lost. Run-flat tyres even prevent the tyre rubber from jumping off the rim in the event of a loss of air pressure. A flat tyre is therefore still a flat tyre, but it loses some of its drama. Note: All run-flat tyres are marked with the symbol "RSC" (Runflat System Component) and may only be fitted in vehicles with a functioning air pressure control system!
 
Tyres with increased load capacity
Reinforced tyres are designed for higher loads than normal tyres. They can be identified by the designation 'RF' (reinforced) or also 'XL' or 'Extra Load'. They are used on vans, minibuses, off-road vehicles, etc. However, their mounting alone does not automatically result in higher load capacity but also requires a correspondingly higher air pressure. Furthermore, the load capacity index specified in the vehicle documents continues to apply.
 
Tyres with extra high load capacity
The "C" in the term C tyres stands for "commercial". These tyres are specially designed for commercial vehicles. These can be, for example, lighter trucks, delivery vans, flatbed trucks or panel vans. In other words: vehicles that have to move higher loads at a comparatively lower speed. The multi-ply reinforced C tyres are therefore even more load-bearing than reinforced tyres.
 
Mobility-optimised tyres
A tyre with a sealing layer on the opposite side of the tyre tread. In the event of a puncture (e.g. by a nail), this layer blocks any loss of air, even if the foreign body causing the puncture is still in the tyre. It is not necessary to stop or change the tyres immediately at the roadside.

Original equipment quality: optimum adjustment to the vehicle
Tyres with a special OEM marking on the sidewall, e.g. "MO" for Mercedes-Benz, were developed in cooperation with a specific car manufacturer and the tyre industry. These tyres have been homologated by the vehicle manufacturer and are a perfect match for a specific model. They have been specially designed to highlight or further improve the performance characteristics of the car in question, thus representing the culmination of a state-of-the-art fine-tuning process that perfectly complements the latest technological developments in the automotive industry. Tyres with manufacturer's markings can of course also be used on other vehicles.

When I bought the car in September last year it had recently been fitted with Kumho Ecsta PS71. These were quite skippy on the wet roads despite being marketed as a good performer in wet conditions. Since fitting the CrossClimate 2's I have had far better grip in the wet and winter conditions. We have had loads of rain, flooded roads then ice and then a week of snow. These tyres give confidence in these conditions and help improve the safety of your drive in those conditions. Will buy again.

When I bought my BMW 3 series I had off brand summer tyres on it. I bought Michelin Crossclimate 2 tyres for it and noticed the difference in the handling on dry roads immediately. The car was much firmer and secure on the road when driving at speed. When driving in the torrential wet I found these tyres to struggle a bit but general rain fall they are fine. Took a year and a half before I got serious snow to test them in. I had to drive home 30 miles on rural roads at 5am with no snow tracks to help and to make things harder I was in a rear wheel BMW. These tyres handle it perfectly, they are incredible in snow. Finally, I am a year and a half/ 10000 miles into them and they easy have another 7K/8K worth of miles in them. 5 stars all round, I'm buying them again no question.

Grip on wet roads is excellent. No snow since purchase, so can only estimate it as very good. Comfortable ride, but slightly noisier than a regular tyre. Car handles very well on the Crossclimates.

Excellent driving experience on these tyres. They feel safe, sturdy and solid on the road in heat, heavy rain, slippery roads due to mud, country roads, uneven and good surfaces, I have not yet tried in snow or ice. To any walkers reading this, they feel like vibram soles for my car!

In comparison to other Hankook tyre types i've used over the years these were terrible verging on dangerous in respect to grip whilst breaking in all conditions. I have removed these tyres and reverted to the part worns previously fitted. There is something very wrong with the compound of these tyres.

Fitted to a 1978 Dolomite Sprint for a European endurance run. Great grip and braking - very confident drive through the Alps and on some of those crazy European motorway interchanges with tight turns. Very pleased with these tyres and will busy again for this vehicle and the modern!

Terrible grip especially on wet - went sliding on a roundabout with slow speed. Simply doesn’t grip on the road well. I have tried several tyres in my driving time but these sadly are one of the worst purchases I’ve made. I was hopeful as it’s Goodyear but it’s a huge disappointment. Don’t waste your money on this. The noise isn’t too bad, but fuel consumption is poor and so it’s the grip!

Nearly perfect road tyre in my opinion. I usually drive sensibly, but often "spirited" and found no major downsides, grips really well. ~2000 miles so far I don't see any wear at all (unlike the budget tyres I had before). The only drawback was going through puddles at speed, but I think that's more my car lacking a limited slip diff.

I used to own Primacy 4's which I liked very much, but pricewise 4'were too expensive. I think Goodyear Efficient Grip 2 are very comfortable tyres. They produce less internal noise when compared to Primacy 4's. Also Goodyear Efficient Grip 2 are softer and less precise (just by marginal difference) than Primacy 4's. Overall I like Goodyear Efficient Grip 2 very much and I think these are safe, comfortable and well pierced premium tyres. I'll buy these tyres again for sure. I would say I should do around 45,000 km in this tyres (front axle) seeing current usage (1.3mm) after 8,500 km.

The biggest problem with these tyres ar that they do not have rip protection. I have been using Hancooks on my previous car, so when looking for tyres for my current car, Hancooks came to mind. I had a better driving experience with the tyres that I replaced.

These tyres give a superb quiet ride. I also have these tyres fitted to the front of my vehicle, which have now completed 45,000 km and the wear is every bit as good as the Michelin tyres they replaced. Although I do not drive in an aggressive manner I have not noticed any detriment in road holding or fuel consumption.

Taking into consideration I drive a low powered car the tyre performance has been excellent. Low noise and road handling is good in all conditions. Wear rate of the tyres obviously not as good as a premium tyre but this can be expected. An excellent choice of lower range tyre

Mixed driving from motorway in fully laden estate to short commute to work and inbetween. Not afraid to put foot down when needed but otherwise take my time. Tyres appear to function well in dry and wet conditions upto normal motorway speeds (by normal drivers) with good grip and economy. never felt the car loose grip due to wet road conditions either. Very happy so far and as long as they give good life i will happily buy again.

I return on average 65mpg with these Fulda winter tyres on - no drop off from the summers [they were not good summers that came off it]. I drive on UK A and B roads in Shropshire, Herefordshire which are very agricultural with lots of pot holes. I killed a Fulda front tyre in 100 miles as I missed a huge pot hole at night at 50mph, the tyre did not burst but it egged - luckily I bought 6 tyres expecting a problem as the roads are horrendous and the tyres 40 series so too low profile for where I live. I drive to purposely avoid pot holes, but still catch them - the tyres and rims have survived unscathed since. I suspect they are slightly noisier than the summer but only on some road surfaces. Grip is very good in wet and predictable in the dry - not an ultimate grip tyre BUT here is my point, it appears to me on a very low power and lightweight car [1,200kg] to provide very consistent grip regardless of road surface which is what I want. Great grip in wet mud and standing water also. I would recommend for a good general tyre. I've done about 5,000 miles on them so far and wear even at 10degC is fine.

Although a "Winter" tyre they are a good all rounder mud & snow. Tyre wear is obviously not as good "summer" tyres and other tyres may be better for high speed autoroute driving.

A solid tyre I've refitted to the car several times already. Excellent grip on wet and dry and more comfortable than the SportContact they replaced with marginal difference in performance. Only difference felt was feeling marginally more tyre wall flex if driving very hard in corners but a lovely balance for comfort and excellent grip. They are slightly louder than other tyres which is a minus but worth it for overall performance. Very predictable behaviour wet and dry. Only other downside is Conti shipping tyres with slightly lower than average new tread which makes it a bit more expensive over the life than similar priced tyres from other brands.

More comfortable than a lot of winter tyres we have had. A bit noisy but not too bad. Fuel economy better than most.
