The Star Performer SPTS AS is the successor to the AS and has been improved compared to the predecessor model. So the tyres should satisfy the different weather conditions. This succeeds as the customer reviews on Tyretest.com show. Several thousand testers give it high marks in all areas. The tyres not only have the M+S designation, but also the snowflake symbol, which officially classifies them as winter suitable.
The Star Performer SPTS AS is available in sizes from 13 to 19 inches. Thus drivers of all vehicle classes benefit of its excellent price-performance ratio. As a private brand of Delticom AG mytyres.co.uk can offer you products of this brand particularly favorable. Additionally you pay no shipping costs if you order more than one tyre.
These are M+S and snowflake marked winter tyres, ideal for use in winter, having just the right amount of grip for both wet and dry surfaces. They also have a great price/quality ratio. Short braking distance, low noise level, heightened comfort, perfect traction and grip especially at high speeds. These tyres offer unequalled safety on wintry roads and in precarious weather.
EU Tyre Label and Efficiency Classes
The European Union, under CE 1222/2009, has mandated that all tyres manufactured after the date of July 1 2012 for cars and commercial vehicles include standard EU Tyre Labels classifying them by three performance characteristics:fuel efficiency classified from A to G,wet grip classified from A to G, and noise emission in decibels.
Categories of tyres unaffected by this regulation include: retreaded tyres, professional off-road tyres, racing/sports car tyres, as well as certain types of tyres designed to improve traction such as studded tyres, T-type temporary spare tyres, tyres for cars built before 1990, tyres with a maximum allowed speed of 80km/h, tyres for rims with a diameter less or equal to 254 mm or greater or equal to 635 mm. This label is intended on one hand to promote economic and ecological efficiency in traffic, as well as increase road safety, and on the other hand to help consumers select appropriate tyres by ensuring a certain degree of product transparency.
Nevertheless, the label has been criticized for only showing a very limited number of characteristics. Professionals argue that tyres have many more features that are important and relevant to road safety, including but not limited to aquaplaning properties, driving stability, service life, product properties on wet and dry roads other than wet grip, properties on snow. Tyre manufacturers suggest that the test results from various institutions and industry magazines should remain a very important source of information for the end consumer, because they focus on and rate a wide variety of tyre properties and features.

07.09.2020fromShem Cheap and good tyres use on my minivan, not to much wear after heavy use in the past six months, very good on wet and dry, I don't have chance check on snow or really frozen days but for typical UK condition I can complain
26.01.2020fromHoward McKenzie Tyres were bought as a low cost option asi plan to change the vehicle this year. Haven’t noticed any difference to previous Toyo Snowtrax that we’re fitted. Mileage has dropped a bit according to the computer but haven’t verified at the pump yet. Not used on snow but fine on mud and ice. No noisier than previous tyres

02.08.2019fromcolin b A rear wheel drive, 15 year old car should not be good to drive on snow or ice. With the Star Performers fitted, this has become the best car i've ever driven in winter, getting up a steep hill near home that other cars couldn't manage. Summer performance is very good too and tyre wear seems excellent despite summer use
